I promise to be punctual, working in the studio long hours, and always open minded. My biggest flaw is that I complain, a lot. But it's mostly about prices of yoghurt and train fares, so don't worry too much.

This is what I will be living on in a few weeks time if student finance don't get their act together. Except it won't be wheetabix, it will be wheat biscuits from the basics range as the brand name stuff will just be extravagant.

The last few days I have been trying contact lenses instead of wearing my glasses. I did this over summer and I truly hated them, they made my eyes sore and I could constantly feel them scratching against my eyes. This time has been quite different really, they have felt a lot more comfy in my eyes, and although they're still a bit dry at times they haven't been as uncomfortable due to this as last time. I also am experimenting with how keeping hydrated has an effect on my eyes too.
Hopefully my glasses will no longer be a permanent fixture upon my nose. And I may lose some of my stereotypical graphic designer charm. HA.

10- Try and do work for the sake of it, so that I'm not totally out of practice with ideas generation and concept building come year 2. Try to draw a bit more.

Personal and Professional Destruction

As part of my first yeah module in PPD, I have to do a presentation. This will take place tomorrow and will be amazingly terrifying!

On a more positive note, I feel like posting a less work-orientated blog every week on this page has helped a lot, just with clarification of where I stand with my own organisation. I reckon what I'm saying I my presentation tomorrow is entirely the truth, which really says a lot, as I'm pretty certain that a good few will be bluffing right through it. I'm pleased that I've made enough progress on the course to be able to say this, too!!

I'm going home on Wednesday, back to bad luck county. Seems like Cumbria has all the worst stuff happening to it at the moment; floods, traffic accidents, and now mass murdering gunmen. Not the nicest impression to give of such a genuinely lovely place!

I can't remember if I blogged about this already, but the foundation art and design course at the University of Cumbria has it's exhibition on this week, which I'm hoping I'll be able to go and see before it closes. I visited them back in Feb, and it seems like it's been a very different course this year. Would be interesting to see the new students' work, and also reflect upon where I was this time last year.

First year is ending. Fast. I feel like it was a few weeks ago that I was putting together my final show for Foundation! I wish I could go visit the exhibition from there this year, but I have too much going on in Leeds!
